Jérémy Bury defeated good-old Richard Bitalis with an amazing score: 50-10.

CHATILLON - Will it be Frédéric Caudron, who can beat Dick Jaspers like last night in a match on a level never seen before? Or is it Marco Zanetti who can, after sharing the match points with Eddy Merckx yesterday, secure the place in the final for Agipi?

The score between Agipi and Clichy-Montmartre is in any case in balance again after the first two matches. Jérémy Bury showed in his collision with good-old Richard Bitalis that there is no doubt about who is by far the best French billiard player in the last years. The final score was almost perplexing for Bitalis: 50-10 in 21 innings.

Jean Reverchon is in the winning mood already for weeks, in the preliminaries for the European Cup, in the final match of the regular competition in France and now again in the semifinals. In two matches he defeated Christoph Roux, both times it seemed to be easy for the fourth man of Clichy. Tonight he won 50-36 in 36 innings.

Clichy is still in the race for the final by the win of Reverchon, but the Parisians don't have many chances to survive. It could be that the last carom of Eddy Merckx, yesterday in the match against Zanetti, make te decision now. That match ended finally in a draw, so that Agipi won the first meeting 5-3. And the team needs one more win, from Caudron or Zanetti, to be in the finals.
