MACON - The French specialist in one cushion, achieved his fourteenth victory in a national tournament in Macon. In the final, Remond defeated Xavier Le Roy 120-105 in twenty innings. By this his victory, Remond climbed on the national ranking from ninth to second place, behind Xavier le Roy, who is leading after two places in the finals.

The winner in Macon finished 10.17 overall and played his best match against Grégory le Deventec in three innings (40.00 average, run 69). Bernard Baudoin signed up with the highest run, 82.

Alain Remond's four wins before the final were: 120-46 in 13 against Michel Pailler, 120-49 in 11, against Johann Girard, 120-65 in twelve, against Jean-François Florent in the quarterfinals in twelve and finally the 120 in three innings vs Le Deventec in the semifinals.

Xavier Le Roy reached the final in his match against Bernard Villiers, which he won 120-36 in ten innings. He finished 7.30 of average. Gregory le Deventec was third with 7.71, Bernard Villiers fourth with 7.62. The last four of Macon are a reflection of the national rankings with the same four players: Villiers, Remond, Le Roy and Le Deventec.

The Andernos players Gerassimopoulos and Baudoin finished fifth and sixth in Macon with high-level averages: 9.97 and 9.22.

The third and final tournament will be played in Andernos in the weekend of April 3rd.
