Albert almost safe after win against Gravelines

DUNKERQUE - The important match for degradation between Gravelines and Albert ended in a 6-2 victory last night for the team of Albert. Peter Ceulemans, Kurt Ceulemans and Olivier Jonard grabbed the points for Albert.

In this pool of the D1 competition Agipi is the prowd leader with six points in three matches. Albert with three points is second after the win over Gravelines, together with Andernos. Gravelines must threat for degradation with zero points in three duels.

Peter Ceulemans had a tough opponent to Martin Spoormans, who took a quick lead and was far ahead halfway: 27-16 in eight innings. ,,I kept my confidence and was rewarded at the end of the match'', Ceulemans said later.

With 22 points in the last six innings Ceulemans finished as the winner, leaving Spoormans with an average of 2.000, but no points: 50-46 in 23 innings.

Kurt Ceulemans won his match against Ronnie Daniels with a beautiful run of nine to the finish: 50-37 in 30 innings. Oliever Jonard defeated Gino Gremain in 58 innings. Cédric Melnytschenko was the only loser in the team of Albert. His opponent, Frederic Roalants, won 50-37 in 43.
