Arnim Kahofer chasing or a triple in Austria

POTTENDORF - Sixteen men and eight women meet as of tomorrow (Thursday, January 14th) in Pottendorfer BSK to battle for the Austrian titles in three cushion. The double championship lasts until Sunday and is played on four tables. Arnim Kahofer is the defending champion in the men's tournament, Ingrid Englbrecht can't defend her title for health reasons. Helga Mittelböck is the main candidate to take the title.

Arnim Kahofer is looking for a hat-trick as title holder in Austria. He wants to continue his way on the international stage. Kahofer is currently number 32 in the world rankings. One of the main competitors is the local player Herbert Szivacz, who is looking for his second success in ten years.

Also a title contender is Andreas Efler, with four titles still the record winner.
