ALMELO - The two-time Dutch champion artistic billiards, Erik Vijverberg, has gathered again a nice field for his annual tournament. The Jan Brunnekreef memorial will be played for the fourth time on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 December. The venue is in Erik Vijverberg's billiard room. The participants come from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Jan Brunnekreef was a very good friend of Erik Vijverberg and triple Dutch champion billiards artistic. Vijverberg: ,,We hope with our organization that the players will again show up in a nice and sportive tournament and that we can continue to enjoy the event in the coming years to honour Jan.''
Besides Erik Vijverberg, also Jos Molenaar and Richard Ravers belong to the organization. Erik: ,,I have many volunteers from my friends' club to do the bar services. And I welcome Bennie Deegens to control the live stream.''
The program is including 70 figures in the ten sets which are determined by draw. The eight players are divided into two groups. The matches can be followed live on biljart.tv
René Dericks, last year's winner and the best in the last Dutch Grand Prix: ,,I will try to defend my trophy in this magnificent tournament, but there is strong opposition from various countries.''
