MUNICH - The German three cushion team competition is surprisingly led by BC Münich after the tenth match day. The 'autumn champion' with 22 points out of 9 matches plays with a line-up of Greeks; Kostas Papakonstantinou and Kostas Kokkoris and the Germans Johann Schirmbrand and Christos Christodoulidis. BC Stuttgart, playing with Tayfun Tasdemir, Murat Naci Coklu, Thorsten Frings and Ramazan Durdu, is the number two with 20 points followed by BC Magdeburg (Dick Jaspers, Dion Nelin) with 19 points. Dick Jaspers played an average of 2.962 over the double round.

In the last double round of the first half, Jaspers was the best with a match against Markus Dömer in 10 innings: 40-13 with a run of sixteen. Other notable matches were the victory of Frédéric Caudron against Tayfun Tasdemir (40-20 in 13), Martin Horn against Eddy Merckx (40-31 in 14), Murat Naci Coklu vs Dave Christiani (40-20 in 16) and Dick Jaspers vs Eddy Merckx (40-30 in 17).

Jaspers won his two matches for BC Magdeburg with 2.962 of average. Caudron won against Tasdemir, but lost to Papakonstantinou 40-37 in 27. Eddy Merckx lost his two matches to Jaspers and Horn, Coklu beat Christiani and Capak.

BC München played a draw against BC Elversberg on Saturday and won 6-2 against Bergisch Gladbacher on Sunday. Kostas Papakonstantinou won his two matches against Caudron and Soumagne, Johann Schirmbrand lost to Capak, but won against Christiani. Pierre Soumagne (Bergisch) defeated Tasdemir in the Saturday round 40-38 in 30. Jean Paul de Bruijn, who plays with merckx for Velbert and is on fourth place with that team, beat Dion Nelin 40-36 in 23. On Sunday, Barry van Beers took De Bruijn's place, he lost to Roestel 40-30 in 36.

For the Bottrop team, on Sunday, two Dutch players came in action who both play together in three competitions (Netherlands, Belgium and Germany): Glenn Hoffman lost to Ronny Lindemann 40-38 in 26, Jean van Erp defeated Gökmen 40-31 in 33.
