BCC Witten surprising leader in budesliga

WITTEN - Thanks to victories in the eleventh and twelfth round of the Bundesliga, BCC Witten is still the leader in the ranking. The team with Stefan Galla and Ronny Lindemann as main players gathered seventeen points in eleven matches.

BA Bottroper, the team that played one match less the champion team of Horster Eck are three points behind, BC Elversberg four points.

BCC Witten defeated Velbert 6-2 this weekend and won the duel with Bfr Sterkrade as well: 8-0. Stefan Galla grabbed the win in his both matches, the first against Henk Habraken 50-36. Ronny Lindemann also remained undefeated.

Horster Eck played an excellent game against Sterkrade on Saturday. Martin Horn (average 1.562), Haeng Jik Kim (1.666) and Thorsten Frings (1.666) gave the champion a wonderful overall average. Dick Jaspers lost his match with Inwon Kang (BF Fehrback-BC Magdeburg) on Saturday, despite a run of fifteen: 50-46 in 32 innings. On Sunday Jaspers beat Jef Philipoom 50-39 in 30.

On the second day of the weekend Horster Eck won the match against Velbert 6-2, again by strong performances of Martin Horn and Haeng Jik Kim.
