BERGISCH GLADBACH - The top match in the German Bundesliga between BC Munich and BC Magdeburg turned out into a draw. Bergisch Gladbacher is the leader after two rounds with four points from out of two matches. BC Munich, BC Magdeburg and BC Elversberg are one point down.

Ravensburger BC, the title holder, started with a loss on Saturday and recovered at home with a win over BCC Witten (6-2) one day later. BCC Witten finds itself at the bottom of the ranking without points.

In the cracker between BC Munich and BC Magdeburg, the top matches were decided in favour of the Magdeburg team. Dick Jaspers defeated Marco Zanetti 40-29 in 26 innings and Dion Nelin sparkled in his match against Javier Palazón 40-25 in 15 innings and a run of fifteen.

BC Munich led 4-0 at the by Johann Schirmbrand, who beat Markus Schönhoff (40-28 in 38) and Christian Christodoulidis who bested Christian Zollner (40-33 in 39).

Bergisch Gladbacher had its best player in Nick Polychronopoulos in the encounter with Krefeld. The Greek outplayed Dirk Weeremans with a big margin (40-19 in17). Martin Horn recovered from the slow start and defeated Thorsten Frings 40-31 in 24. Jens Eggers took the third win against Wesley Jaeger (40-35 in 32).

BC Elversberg finished with a draw in the away match against Bfr Sterkrade. Frédéric Caudron and Jean Paul de Bruijn balanced the match after the break with wins over Thomas Broux and Ramazan Durdu: 40-24 in 20 and 40-37 in 34. Before the break Sterkrade led 4-0 by Roger Lier and Carsten Raspel.

BC Ravensburger took his first win: the champion defeated BCC Witten 6-2 thanks to Murat Naci Coklu, who beat Ronny Lindemann 40-16 in 20, Ismail Inal (profit in 50 innings) and Murat Gökmen (profit in 31). Tayfun Tasdemir, the man in World Cup form, lost to his countryman Savas Bulut 40-37 in 26.
