MUNICH - Two Germans, one Dutchman and one Belgian gathered in a hotel in Munick this morning for an important double in the German three cushion league. The team, with the line-up Dave Christiani, Peter Ceulemans, Dustin Jäschke and Carsten Raspel are on top in the bundesliga and are facing two away matches: today, Saturday, to BC Munich, one of the competitors, tomorrow to Erlangen. The youngster of the team, Dustin Jächke (24), expects two tough matches. ,,We want to continue in the title race, so, let's start the winning mission.''

Bergisch Gladbach leads the table at six matches from the end with 17 match points out of 12 matches, followed by BC Magdeburg (Dick Jaspers) with 16 out of 13, BC Munich (Lütfi Cenet) and BCC Witten (Eddy Leppens) with 15 out of 13 and BC Elversberg (Frédéric Caudron) with 13 out of 12. Dustin Jäschke forsees three more competitors for the title: Magdeburg, München and Elversberg. This weekend, a double program will be played with Bergisch Gladbach-BC Munich as the top billing this afternoon (start at 14.00).

Dustin Jäschke, a car salesman living in Dinslaken, realizes the the top position of his team surprising, but praises the team spirit. ,,We have a young team and have lots of fun together.'' The outcome will depend on Bergisch's last strength meetings: on 24 and 25 March, the team will close the competition against Magdeburg and BC International.

The young German, who aims to be a professional billiard player, showed up in almost all World Cups together with Ronny Lindemann in the last two years. He hope to do it again this year. ,,We have a meeting with the federation during the World Championships in Viersen, then we know if we will play the World Cups again.''

The Bergisch team gathered this morning (Saturday) in Munich for the first match of the weekend. The team leaves after the match for Erlangen, 200 kilometres away. ,,We already arrived in Munich yesterday, only Peter Ceulemans came by plane this morning (Saturday)'', explains Jäschke.

Peter Ceulemans will close a marathon week, in which he has traveled about 4000 kilometres on Sunday evening. On Tuesday with Mr 100 the away match against Biljart Expres in Turnhout, then by plane to Bordeaux for the match with Albert against Andernos, one day later back to Brussels, this morning from Brussels to Munich, tonight by car to Erlangen, on Sunday afternoon to Frankfurt and from there by plane back to Brussels.
