Bernd Singer won the Memorial ahead of Eric Daelman and Walter Bax

ALMELO - The 51-year-old German Bernd Singer has won the second edition of the Jan Bunnekreef Memorial with a big margin. The artistic tournament with eight players was organized by Erik Vijverberg in his own billiards arena. The European champion Eric Daelman (Belgium) finished second ahead of his compatriot Walter Bax.

The Dutch players Rene Dericks, Erik Vijverberg, Jop de Jong and Sander Jonen finished just outside the podium places four, five, six and seven.

The eight participants reacted that the tournament was very successful, hard fought, the winner was very strong and the atmosphere really good.

Bernd Singer, who was second last year behind Walter Bax last year, secured the final victory far before the last figures. He finished with 397 points. Eric Daelman was second with 345 points ahead of Walter Bax with 333.

The 51-year-old German, from the club TSV Ingolstadt, extended recently the title in his country. He was second at the World championships in 2011, but dropped to the 11th place on the world ranking.
