Best sixteen start the knock-out in Koralli Club

ATHENS - The sixteen seeded players, plus sixteen players from qualification rounds, start the knock-out stage of the fourth and final Greek ranking tournament today. The tournament, in Koralli Billards Club in Athens, is broadcast live by Kozoom and is decisive for the Greek three cushion championship.

Kostas Kokkoris leads the ranking after three tournaments with 172 points followed by Nick Polychronopoulos 160 and Filippos Kasidokostas 146.

Kokkoris is facing Anastasios Gkopitzias (21.00) in the first knock-out, Polychronopoulos opens his performance against George Maranis (21.00) and Kasidokostas is playing against Fanis Papadopoulos at 19.00.

The sessions today, Friday, are at 15.00, 17.00, 19.00 and 21.00.

In the pre selection, Kostas Antonatos was by far the best player with matches against John Papadakis (40-16 in 17, 2.353 average) and Sakis Sotiropolis (40-6 20, 2.000). The player on top of the qualifications meets Kostas Giannakopoulos today at 21.00. Fotis Bithas was another luminary with matches in 33 and 38 innings. His opponent today is Evanggelis Moulos at 19:00.
