Maxime Panaia, the title favourite number one after the quarters

LEUVEN - The German Simon Blondeel, the Czech Milan Ettel and two Frenchmen, Maxime Panaia and Enzo Riquart play the semi-finals at the European championship three cushion for players under 17. The two French title favourites meet each other, Blondeel plays against Ettel. The semi-finals are this Sunday at 12.00, the finals at 15.00. The matches can be followed live on kozoom.com.

Maxime Panaia, the best player so far in the tournament, demonstrated in the quarterfinals that he is the number one favourite for the title. In the shortest match in this first knockout round, the young Frenchman defeated his compatriot Rémi Chenay with a big margin, 25-12 in 16 innings.

The second Frenchman, Enzo Riquart, defeated the Italian Alessio D'Agata 25-20 in 22. Milan Ettel was the better against Nikolaus Kogelbauer 25-17 in 18 and Simon Blondeel had the best final sprint in the match against the Belgian Dylan Parent, whom he left behind with a run of four with 22-21 on the scoreboard: 25-22 in 32 innings.
