LAXOU - In the second tournament for the French championship, the eight group winners battle for the win. All favorites have qualified, except Jean-Christoph Roux, who was defeated with one carom in his match against Jean-Jacques Boudin.
Jérémy Bury, solid and strong in his first performance, disturbed Cédric Melnytschenko's illusions (40-23 in 28), he also defeated Eric Kremer-Lemaire (40-15 in 19).
The number one ranked was the best of all group winners. Jérôme Barbeillon also made an excellent impression with victories over Perrotin (40-28 in 26) and Mossec (40-30 in 23).
Francis Connesson can be a competitor for the two main favorites if he can maintain yesterday's form. The all rounder won his group with two great matches 40-24 in 22 against Danny Bell, 40-25 in 30 innings against Fabrice Puigvert.
Pierre Soumagne had a strong start against Hoang Trong (40 in 30), but needed too many innings to beat Frédéric Roelants (40-26 in 46).
Jean Reverchon sealed victory in his matches against Bonnet and Videau, Eric Tromas won his group in duels with Marc Boigneres and Roxo and Xavier le Roy advanced by victories over Louis Edelin and Bernard Baudoin.
