LA MESA - The Pan American champion Carlos Campino has won a ranking tournament in Colombia. In the final he defeated Carlos M Villegas 2-0: 15-10 in 12 and 15-7 in eight innings.
Alexander Salazar and Robinson Morales were outplayed in the semifinals. Campinos defeated Salazar 2-1, Villegas surprised Morales 2-0.
The preliminary rounds of the tournament in La Mesa (Cundinamarca) were played with ten groups of three. The winners were Jaime Carrasco, Harry Reys, Leonardo Castillo, Reina Vand Enver, Ronald Otavo, Humberto Castana, Mauricio Pulido, Eleazar Ramirez, Arley Castrillon and Manuel Martinez.
The finale match was the same as last year, when Carlos Campino and Carlos M Villegas also faced each other. Campino finished the tournament with an 1.286 average, Villegas had 1.111 overall. Salazar played 1.090 Robinson Morales 1.281.
