ANNECY - The two finalists in the Annecy Billard Pro-Am shared the final victory in the tournament. Torbjörn Blomdahl and Frédéric Caudron crossed the finish line togeter, (40-40), after the Swede had equalized with two caroms in the eighteenth inning.
Dick Jaspers won the battle for third place against Jérôme Barbeillon 40-16 in sixteen innings.
The tournament, in which four professional players were invited for a battle with amateur players, was decided in matches to 40 caroms in the final rounds and got its showdown in the semifinals. The world's number two Blomdahl grew to his climax against Jaspers, defeating the Dutchman in the best performance of the tournament: 40-24 in twelve innings.
Caudron won the other party semifinal against Barbeillon, whom he beat 40-25 in 14 innings.
