Two great teams, BC Elversberg and Bergisch Gladbacher, battled in Gemany.

ELVERSBERG - Frédéric Caudron was the undisputed star in the first double weekend of the German bundesliga. The Belgian, who was dethroned by Blomdahl as world nr. 1 last week in Suwon, defeated his rival in BC Elversberg’s home game against  Bergisch Gladbacher BC.

The match between the two world class giants saw Frédéric Caudron show his superior class. With a high run of 17, the home player made the difference and Blomdahl could not close the gap.

Caudron won 40-28 in fifteen innings: averages 2.667/1.867. Caudron’s BC Elversberg team won 5-3 and lead the league table with the maximum four points.

Martin Horn was the only winner for the visitors of Bergisch Gladbacher: he beat Johann Schirmbrand 40-36 in 26 innings.

BC Elversberg, now reinforced with new player Murat Gökmen, won the opening game as well, against BSV Wuppertal.

BCC Witten is also undefeated after two matches (6-2 against Sterkrade, 5-3 in Buer). De 1 BC Magdeburg has 2 points, but that is after only one match.
