Jean Paul de Bruijn performed very well with a high run of fifteen.

VLAARDINGEN - The top three of the Dutch league didn't make any missteps in the ninth round. The leader, TOVV.nl/MCR and Frans Bevers even won their matches with the maximum score against De Hazelaar and DKM Tools (8-0). There was more tension in the match of A1 Biljarts, that could grab the full win at the end against Dekker Keukens (5-3). The team thanked the victory (5-3) especially to the excellent playing Martien van der Spoel.

Snellen Recycling, the number four, spoiled one point to the three leaders in the away match against Hatrans/Twente. Christian Rudolph played a very good match and defeated Roland Forthomme (50-34 in 28). Andreas Niehaus impressed with a victory against Peter Ceulemans, the Belgian who won a ranking tournament in his own country last weekend, beating his compatriot Forthomme in the final.

Frédéric Caudron played the best match of this round with a victory against Kurt Ceulemans (50-33) in 24 innings. Jean Paul de Bruijn made the highest run (fifteen) in the same match. The player from Hulst in Zeeland made that run in the sixth inning and then laid the basis for his victory against Frank Martens.

Eddy Merckx defeated in the match with TOVV his opponent Bert van Manen 50-30 in 28. Dave Christiani showed himself better than Arno Peterson (50-31 in 44), Richard Bitalis defeated Peter Stuiver and Hans de Groot won his duel with Karel de Groot. Frans van Kuyk was missing the match for his team, because he's playing the World Cup in Hurghada.

Dekker Keukens against A1 Biljarts was an exciting meeting. Martien van der Spoel won his match, but Raimond Burgman lost against Johnn Tijssens (50-46 in 34). Dion Nelin then defeated Gerwin Valentijn (50-38 in 29), but in the match between the two leaders, the tension was on until the last minutes. Michael Nilsson eventually took the full win for his team with a draw against Jef Philipoom in 34 innings.

Martens Cleaning shared the win with Berendhaus/Horeca/ with wins for Raymond Ceulemans and Henk Habraken. Ther was another draw between Van de Broek/Hanbat and DBL Holland, in which match Inwong Kang surprised by an excellent game against Murat Naci Coklu (50-25 in 26 innings).
