STUTTGART/MAGDEBURG - In the three cushion German bundesliga, the Stuttgart team remains the leader and Magdeburg is number two. In the run-up to the World championship for national teams in Viersen, the Germans welcomed a strong Martin Horn, who played to a draw, 40-40 against Frédéric Caudron in 14 innings.  That was the best match in the double weekend in Germany. The Belgian also showed his form with a victory over Dick Jaspers: 40-37 in 17.

Martin Horn's team BC International took 3 match points this weekend with a victory over Bergisch-Gladbach and a draw against Elversberg. The Berline team therefore leave the last position in the highest class.

Tayfun Tasdemir and Thorsten Frings played excellent matches for the league-leader in 20 innings. Filippos Kasidokostas won in 27 innings. Bottrop, which in its strongest line-up can show up with the Dutch Hofman and Van Erp, is now in last place.

On Sunday, Stuttgart defeated Witten 6-2 and again, Tasdemir was outstanding: he bested Ronny Lindemann 40-14 in 14. BC Witten defeated BC München on Sunday 6-2, thanks partly by Eddy Leppens' victory over Papakonstantinou 40-30 in 25. BC Magdeburg won its two home matches against BC Elversberg 6-2 and Bergisch Gladbach 8-0.
