LAUSANNE - The CEB Committee again announced important decisions at a meeting in Lausanne. The European championship in Brandenburg 2019 was discussed amongst others. The match days have not yet been confirmed. Johny Houtsch has been appointed as coordinator for the upcoming European championship 2019. On Saturday June 9, 2018 in Porto, a first conference with the presidents of the federations will be held during the European Cup for club teams.
To encourage participation in Euro Youth (3C, 5Q and Free game U21, 3C and Free game U17, Free game teams U19) it was decided not to limit the number of players per Federation. As a reminder, this competition will take place in Ronchin on Easter weekend 2018. The CEB will participate and help the Federations up to with an amount of € 100 per player, representing an amount of app. 7000 euros.
Ladies
The KNBB (Dutch federation) renounced to organize the European Ladies Free Cup in Rosmalen in 2018, the CEB committee has decided that it will be organized in Ronchin at the same time as the Euro Youth English.

We are pleased to announce the creation of a new competition: "5-Pins Euro-League Club Team". This event will consist of 3 tournaments per year (calendar year) and will be held every 2 years. The first edition will take place next year.
Billiards and handicap (Wheel Chair Billiard)
CEB has decided to actively promote billiards for people with disabilities. The board is working on some projects. More information will follow.

CEB invites the Federations to organize Grand Prix.
Referee
It is now required 20 years of experience to be an honorary referee. The age limit for being a CEB referee has been removed but the federations will have to reconfirm every year the capacities of the referees having passed 70 years. A meeting of the referees will take place in the second half of 2018.
Paris 2024
CEB is convinced that the Olympic games in Paris are the best opportunity ever to become Olympic. CEB is at the side of the WCBS and the UMB for this project and congratulates the Fédération Française de Billard billiards which has already set up a working group.
