The French champions are on their way to the playoffs

MORANGIS - The French three cushion team competition is reaching the final stage. The eight teams are two rounds away from the playoffs rounds in which the title is at stake. The team CetSi Morangis is the defending champion. Today, Thursday 10 and Friday, March 11th, the fifth round is on the schedule. CetSI Morangis, the reigning champion, excels all season with the best averages of the European top teams. Eddy Merckx, Eddy Leppens, Richard Bitalis and Jean Reverchon Bitalis recorded a 1.678 over four matches so far and have easily qualified for the playoffs in France.

Tomorrow, Friday, the champion plays its fifth match as of 17.30 against Albert, the team that's missing out its luxury joker Dion Nelin. Jean Reverchon wants a revenge for his previous defeat by Xavier Le Roy, Richard Bitalis is wary of Cédric Melnytschenko. The other confrontations are the Belgian clashes between Eddy Leppens and Kurt Ceulemans and Eddy Merckx and Peter Ceulemans.
In the home matches so far, CetSI Morangis is ruthless fort he opponents with 1.800 average oveer two matches.

The other match in the group A will be played on March 26 between Villeneuve d'Ascq and Saint-Maur.
