ROUEN - The French/Belgian team of Cetsi Morangis has achieved a brilliant victory on the fourth day of the French team competition. The team average of the Parisians in the away match against Rouen was 2.010, a record average. Cetsi won the match 6-2, Jean Reverchon, who played his best match ever, was the best winner for his team: 50 in 21 innings. Only Eddy Merckx lost for Cetsi to Javier Palazón.

Jean Reverchon had a great start when he tortured Vincent Facquet 22-8 in 8 innings. The Frenchman also had a strong finish and ran out with runs of 3, 7 and 4 in his last ten innings: 50-17 in 21, 2.380 average. Jean-Christophe Roux defeated Thierry Roxo 50-23 in 32 innings before the break, the only match in which Cetsi played below 2 average.

Eddy Merckx ran into a devastating run of 17 in his match against Javier Palazón. The Spaniard led 24-11 in 5, but after a '10' from Merckx, the two come closer to each other. Merckx even led 43-39 in 21, but then Palazón attacks with 7 and 4: 50-47 in 23, averages 2.173/2.043.

Eddy Leppens had a better start than Ruben Legazpi with 5-3-3-3-6 and led 24-6 in 5 innings. The Spaniard came back to 32-29, but then Leppens set course to the finish line with 10: 50-41 in 22 (2.272/1.863).

Cetsi Morangis climbs to second place with six points, the same as La Baule that leads the ranking. Colmar has 3 points, Rouen is eliminated with 1 point.
