The Albert team took victory with a record average

GRAVELINES - In the French team competition, the Albert team, in which Peter Ceulemans is the leading player and Glenn Hoffman the new number two, has won the away match against Gravelines 6-2. The victory was the best ever for Albert, that played a team record, 1.663 average. In this group, Andernos earlier achieved a victory over Laxou.

The two leading players in the Albert team excelled in the match against Gravelines. Peter Ceulemans had a superior start against his compatriot Martin Spoormans, 18-5 in 7 innings, after which he ran out with the best run of the day (14) to 33-9 in ten innings. Ceulemans eventually won 50-27 in 23.

Glenn Hoffman also made the gap in the starting stage against Ronny Daniels. The Dutchman paved his way to victory at 28-8 after a run of 13 in the 7th inning. That resulted in a big margin at the end, 50-19 in 24 innings.

Cédric Melnytschenko also made a strong impression with 1.667 on average against Frédéric Roelants. The two French were in balance until 15-15 in 15. 'Melny' secured victory with a run of 10 and twice 7 for a final score of 50-38 in 30. In the Albert team, only Xavier le Roy lost his match against Frédéric Beghin 50-38 in 36.

In the ranking, Andernos has taken the lead with 4 points and 1,586. Albert is in second place with 2 points (9 individual points) and 1.335, Laxou is third with 2 points (5 individual points) and 1.216, Gravelines is fourth and last: 0 points, 1.236.
