BARENDRECHT - The champion of the league had a lucky day in the eleventh round. Dick Jaspers and Martin Horn won their matches by one point against Michael Nilsson and Martin van der Spoel and Torbjörn Blomdahl only had an adventage of two caroms at the finish in his match against Ronny Brants.
The team of Van Donge en De Roo crawled with the 6-2 victory through the eye of a needle. The spectators not only witnessed a wonderful day of billiard, but also watched a battle of nerves at the end. For the leader it really was a lucky escape on three billiard tables. The pursuers of Crystal Kelly had a better weekend. The team of the undisputed captain Frédéric Caudron won two matches by 8-0 in Sluiskil. On Saturday the opponent Delta was defeated, this afternoon Garage Verbrugge, the number last in the league.
Verbrugge made a better impression than Delta. Martin Spoormans finished on three points of Caudron, who is in a great shape. Therese Klompenhouwer played a strong, but unhappy match against Raymond Ceulemans, who played like in his best days.
