COLMAR - The champion team of Andernos has launched the competition for teams in France with a victory. The away game against Colmar, a new team in the competition, was won 6-2 in Alsace. The overall average of both teams was not very high: for the Girondins 1.049, for Colmar 0.833.
The two main players of each team showed up in a great match. Frédéric Caudron won the only match for Colmar by beating Filipos Kasidokostas. The Belgian world champion finished 50-40 in 21 innings. Caudron made a run of eleven, Kasidokostas of nine. The Greek came back from 42-13 down to 44-38, but then was dashed off by his opponent.
Roland Forthomme made the highest run of the evening (12): he won the match against his compatriot Dany Boutet quite easily 50-24 in 37 innings.
Jérôme Barbeillon and Adrie Tachoire played a marathon match over 65 innings. At the end of the race Barbeillon led 50-48. Francis Connesson won the third match for Andernos 50-38 in 58 innings vs Jerome Riotto.
Today (Saturday) the Kozoom team plays against Laxou, a match that will be broadcast live from 16.00 on Kozoom.
