Cubri need to watch his back…..

The Cubri / Etikon players , Henri Tilleman, Patrick Niessen and Inkada Champion Jean-Paul de Bruijn had to put a lot of effort in limiting the loss during the Top 3 clash (Cubri, YEL and team s' Lands Welvaren). 

Patrick Niessen had a bad day. Against both Harry van de Boogaard and Raymund Swertz he was not able to dictate in his favorite discipline baulkline 71/2. On top of that it was Frédéric Caudron who devaluated Jean-Paul de Bruijn in their One-Cushion match, so an unexpected loss for the defending champions Cubri / Etikon became reality. 

Raymund Swertz performed excellent and an ingenious switch in the line-up of YEL (Raymund Swertz and Michel van Silfhout) turned out well. Swertz beat van den Boogaard and van Silfhout defeated Ian van Krieken. Fabian Blondeel was lucky to enter his One-Cushion match against the untouchable Frédéric Caudron pretty relaxed, the teampoints were already safe.

The duel between the current number 1 and 2 was as usual exciting. Henri Tilleman showed his exceptional class in baulkline 47 / 2 by finishing in the opening inning. Swertz on the other hand, equalised, by beating Patrick Niessen, also in one inning. The game between Fabian Blondeel and Jean-Paul de Bruijn had to make the decision. Both players seemed equally strong when Blondeel missed with seven points to go. But de Bruijn could not immediately react by taking the victory, instead of that he gave Blondeel a narrow escape, but at the end he managed to draw and to save an important teampoint.

Team,''de Wells Vaert'' celebrated their first season victory and are determined not to end up number last in the ranking. The participation of Eddy Leppens will surely help them, but unfortunately it was Leppens who lost both his matches this weekend. 

Thomas Nockemann of ''de Graafschap Biljarts'' had an excellent day, he used respectively 1 and 2 innings to win both baulkline 71 / 2 matches.
