Berry Dallinga, win for the league, loss for the cup

HOEVEN/SLUISKIL - The double for the league and for the cup started for the Dallinga team on Sunday afternoon with an important win. The Zeeland team is close to the top four in the premier league after the 6-2 win over L&B Ledermode. The long day was continued in Sluiskil where the return was played for the cup match against STZ Zundert. There, after a draw (4-4), Dallinga was eliminated for the cup final. HCR Prinsen and Bousema Lochem met for the first match in the cup competition.

Berry Dallinga sees good chances for his team, in which he is fourth man, to reach the play-offs. ,,Today's victory was important, because L&B is one of our competitors. There are four places for the play-offs, we now share fifth place with L&B. Next week we will play against Bousema, another important match, but Caudron and De Bruijn are missing.''

In the match against L&B, Berry Dallinga was one of three players to take the 6-2 win. He defeated John Tijssen including a run of ten (40-38 in 44). On Sunday evening, Dallinga matched with Roland Uijtdewillegen, came to 1-1 in sets, but finally lost. Before the break, Jean Paul de Bruijn also lost 2-1 to Peter Ceulemans. As a result, Zundert reached the next round and Dallinga will miss at the cup final. The best day winners in the 14th league round were Caudron and De Bruijn with matches in 18 against Merckx and Christiani.

SIS Schoonmaak and HCR Prinsen had a kind of walk-over on this 14th competition day with 8-0 victories over Aardexpress and ‘t Ivoor. Glenn Hofman won 40-22 in 22 vs Ronny Lindemann's for the Hague team, Jean van Erp made 40 in 24 against René Wijnen. Anno de Kleine was the best winner in the Prinsen team with a victory over Jac van Peer in 22 innings. Dick Jaspers defeated Huub Wilkowski 40-32 in 30.

Bousema maintained in the top four by the 6-2 victory over A1 Biljarts, partly thanks to Murat Naci Coklu who outplayed Christian Rudolph (40-15 in 20). The Brabant team of STZ Zundert defeated their neighbours from Team Eekhoorn 6-2. Frans van Kuyk bested Roland Forthomme 40-36 in 22. That was not enough for a good team result. The decisive match was a Ceulemans fight: Peter Ceulemans beat Kurt Ceulemans 40-39 in 31 innings.

Hartje Van Wanrooy pushed Burgmans Biljarts even further in the last place by a 5-3 victory.
