Danny Molier will sell his billiard place and won't continue with the DPC team

VLAARDINGEN - The Dutch team DPC, with Nikos Polychronopoulos, Birol Uymaz, David Martinez and Jérôme Barbeillon as its main players, redraws at the end of this season. The owner Danny Molier sells his billiard place and will not continue with the team. DPC is one of the top teams in the main Dutch three cushion league. The 31-year-old owner from Vlaardingen will sell his billiard café 't Oogh van Vlaerdingh in Vlaardingen and will not return to the billiard sport.

DPC is one of the best teams in the premier division, which is one of the strongest competitions in the world. The team will finish the competition, but without Polychronopoulos and Martinez. ,,We will definitely not reach the playoffs.''

The much discussed team boss confesses that his (billiards)café can't be made profitable already for some time. ,,I have done it for five years, but I don't see any future'', says Molier, who built up a team with foreign players that climbed up to the top of the Dutch league. ,,It is a pity for the players, especially for Therese Klompenhouwer, who would join the team starting next season. Birol Uymaz, Martin Spoormans, Richard Bitalis and myself will finish the season. I don't know yet when the café will be closed. That depends, if someone will show up to take it over. I will keep it open at least until 5 May.''

Danny Molier argued for playing with a maximum number of foreign players in the Premier League. He even took a lawyer to challenge a decision of the KNBB, because the federation announced that at least two Dutch players have to be in the team line-up for next season.

Nikos Polychronopoulos, the Greek top player, stops playing for DPC
