Dave Christiani after his topmatch in the bundesliga: 40 in 9 innings.

BERGISCH GLADBACH - The life of a billiard player can suddenly move into another track. Dave Christiani can bear witness now to that fact. The 'Limburger' has met his new girlfriend Cindy Zegers via chat site Badoo this year. ,,I'm happier than ever'', he smiles. On Saturday, in the Bundesliga, this love was his inspiration for a world class match: 40 caroms in 9 innings (4, 5, 12, 3, 0, 5, 1, 0, 10).

He started the billiard year never so well as he did it now, including matches in thirteen innings in the German Cup and the Grand Prix in Oosterhout. Dave Christiani feels perfect, not only in his private life, also at the billiard table. ,,I am 100 percent used to my Molinari cue now. It is for me the best cue there is on the market.''

Dave and Cindy have find a flawless balance in their lives this summer. ,,I'm on the road for billiards for the whole year and Cindy supports me everywhere. But in the summer we visit a lot of festivals, because Cindy loves it. And now, life is so beautiful for both of us.''

They don't live together for now: Dave in Kerkrade, Cindy (profession in health care with mental disabilities) in Geleen. ,,But I see her every day and probably we will live together soon.''

The match Dave played in the bundesliga, Saturday, showed what he felt for a long time. ,,The form has never been so good, the Molinari cue fits me perfect. Because of the 314 low deflection top there is a minimal deviation in the line of the cue ball. Balls on distance are much easier. And when you make a drawshot or a shot with much English, it seems like child's play. I'm really very proud and happy that I can play with Molinari and be the dealer.''

Christiani won his nine innings-match against Hans-Jürgen Kühl with Bergisch Gladbach in the home game against Elversberg, won by Gladbach 6-2. Glenn Hoffman beat Peter Ceulemans 40-29 in 32, Markus Dömer defeated Volker Marx (40-20 in 28). Jef Philipoom was the only winner for Elversberg in his match vs Martin Horn: 40-35 in 19.

Ravensburger BC continues to lead the rankings. Without the Turks Tayfun Tasdemir and Murat Naci Coklu this weekend, the team won 6-2 against Bottroper and lost on Sunday to GT Buer (6-2). For GT Buer, the Galla brothers Stefan and Markus won in 23 and 34 innings. Saturday, the team also won 8-0 in Munich.

Bergisch Gladbacher, GT Buer and BCC Witten follow the leading team of Ravensberger at one point after four days of play. Eddy Leppens lost for Witten on Saturdays vs Thorsten Frings (40-39 in 30), Ronny Lindemann defeated Orhan Eroğul 40-15 in 15. BCC Witten defeated Sterkerade on Sunday 6-2. Jakob Haack Sorensen shone against Thomas Broux (40-25 in 18), Ronny Lindemann vs Ramazan Durdu in 28.

The results:

Saturday:
Witten - Krefeld 4-4
Bergisch Gladbach - Elversberg 6 2
Velbert - Sterkrade 2-6
Buer - Munich 8-0
Bottrop - Ravensburg 2-6

Sunday, fourth day:
