DOETINCHEM - At the end of the Dutch championship one cushion the speaker of the tournament called him Dave Caudron, showing his admiration for the champion. Dave Christiani had won the title in Doetinchem and took the national the record of Jean Paul de Bruijn.
He took the titel in a great finale, in which he defeated the reigning champion 150-26 in six innings with an end rush of 68.
Dave Christiani took away the title of Jean Paul de Bruijn, but also his national record with an average of 21.91. In comparison, Frédéric Caudron became champion in Belgium with 20.68 average on Sunday.
The Dutch championship in Doetinchem was played on a very high level. In the group matches Dave Christiani played 20.27, René Luijsterburg 17.69, Jean Paul de Bruijn 16.66, Henri Tilleman 16.00 and Raymund Swertz 10.60.
