ZUNDERT - Two teams, of which Delta defeated Twentevisie this afternoon 6-2 and Dekker Keukens, playing against Van Donge en De Roo this evening, are struggling for a place in the semi finals of the Dutch cup final. The team from Sluiskil temporary has the best chances, but Dekker Keukens needs only one victory tonight to leave Delta behind.

The Utrecht team then ends up together with Delta at four match points, but with one more winning match. The task however will be very heavy for Dekker, because the opponent is the national champion and cup holder.

Jef Philipoom is playing against Dick Jaspers, John Tijssens against Martin Horn, Gerwin Valentijn against Torbjörn Blomdahl and Hans van der Wurf against Jean van Erp.

,,We may even lose 8-0'', Tijssens rapidly calculated, but then all four matches must end 2-1. ,,When I'm honestly, I think that can't happen. We just have to win one match, then we send Delta back home for the second year on a row.''

Delta wasted an important point against Twentevisie this afternoon. Jean Paul de Bruijn lost his first two sets against Thorsten Frints 15-8, 15-10, which brings Delta in danger, with 1.068 De Bruijn played far below his qualities.

Eddy Leppens, who defeated Anno de Kleine 2-1, Peter de Backer (2-1 against Dave van Geel) and Glenn Hofman (3-0 against Stefan Lenting) kept some kind of control over the chances for Delta.

Crystal Kelly opened the door to the semi-finals very easily this afternoon. The team defeated DBL Holland (8-0). Raimond Burgman was the only player of the three who won 3-0, against Jelle Pijl. Frédéric Caudron (against Coklu), Frans van Kuik (Stefan Galla) and Raymond Ceulemans (Henri Tilleman) spoiled one set. The team average was impressive: Caudron 1.750, Van Kuik 1.615, Burgman 1.607, Ceulemans 1.115.

Crystal Kelly avoids the confrontation with Van Dongen and De Roo in the semi-finals if the team ends up first in his group. Snellen Recycling, the number two in the ranking, meets Emar Logistics tonight.
