Jean van Erp defeated Glenn Hofman and won with Van Donge en De Roo 8-0 against Delta.

ZUNDERT - The chances for Delta Sluiskil to survive the preliminary rounds of the Dutch cup final are very thin. The team of Jan Kikken, the team coach who expresses his great ambitions in the league and the cup every year, was overthrowed with a big score by Van Donge en De Roo this afternoon (8-0) and now it depends on Dekker Keukens if the can stay in the tournament.

The team from Zealanders got a lesson in finishing a match. Glenn Hofman, Jean Paul de Bruijn and Peter de Backer had a very strong start, but then failed in the endrush. De Bruijn spoiled in his first set against Torbjörn Blomdahl a big lead and then lost 3-0. Peter de Backer overcame the same against Martin Horn (also 3-0 loss) and Glenn Hofmann won the first set against Jean van Erp, but then lost the control over the match: 1-2 loss.

Eddy Leppens, the leader who had to bow on the first day for Jef Philipoom 3-0, now lost to Dick Jaspers, however the average of the Belgian was the highest (1.739), but he was trailed 2-0 in sets.

The 8-0 loss can be fatal for Delta, because Dekker Keukens plays against Twentevisie tonight. The Utrecht team has the match against Van Donge to go tomrorrow and must try to gather a better mutual result than the competitor Delta.

DBL Holland and Elmar Logistics, two losers from the first day in the other group, met up today. DBL captured two match points. Stefan Galla (against Frank Martens), Jelle Pijl (against Jack Wines) and Henri Tilleman (Ad Brothers) recorded the wins, only Francis Forton won his match against Murat Naci Coklu for Elmar: 2-1.

Snellen Recycling and Crystal Kelly, the two leaders, will meet tonight for the first place in this group.
