LAUSANNE - Diane Wild's organizing team is still hard at work to finish off the the billiard room in the Montbenon casino in Lausanne. The second edition of the Lausanne Billiard Masters is about to start. Seven world class players and Marco Zanetti, the winner of last year, make a shot at the win. Two Swiss players have been invited to complete the groups of five.
The tournament starts off on Friday at 14.00, the semi-finals are on Sunday at 11.00, the finals at 14.00.
Group A consists of Marco Zanetti, Dick Jaspers, Sung-Won Choi, Martin Horn and Rene Hendriksen. Group B is maybe even more impressive with Frédéric Caudron, Torbjörn Blomdahl, Daniel Sánchez, Jérémy Bury and Fernando Couto.
The games are played to 40 points with a 40 seconds time clock. The two best players in each group advance for the semifinals.
