The tournament with eight world class players is from 21 to 23 November

LAUSANNE - The defending champion Marco Zanetti is number one seeded player for this year's Lausanne Billard Masters, the tournament that will be played from 21 to 23 November. The composition of the two groups of five players will be done after the World Cup in Porto, according to the ranking of the UMB.

The tournament, organized by CEB board member Diane Wild, is more or less comparable with the Agipi Masters: eight players, highly ranked and two Swiss players are invited.

Marco Zanetti leads the field that further comprises Torbjörn Blomdahl, Frédéric Caudron, Dick Jaspers, Dani Sánchez, Sung-Won Choi, Jérémy Bury and Martin Horn. Fernando Couto has been invited as a player from ALB Lausanne, one Swiss player will be added later.

The start of the group stages is on Friday, November 21 at 14.00. The opening ceremony that day is at 18.30. On Saturday the start is at 10.00 am, on Sunday, the semifinals and the finals are at 11.00 and 14.00.

The prize money (32.300 in total):

The winner receives 2000 Swiss francs, the number two 1500, three and four 900, five and six 500, seven and eight 300, nine and ten 100.

The winner of a match receives 400 Swiss francs, for a run of ten 300, a run of fifteen 400 and a run of twenty 800 Swiss francs.
