Dick Jaspers, another win in the Netherlands with a great average.

BARENDRECHT - Not only Dick Jaspers this afternoon demonstrated his power and high class in the Dutch league in his match against Jef Philipoom. Murat Naci Coklu also reached that high level and in both matches the opponents were completely hopeless. Jaspers made the match a torture for Jef Philipoom: 50-12 in eighteen innings. Coklu defeated Ronny Brants 50-18, in eighteen.

Dick Jaspers led his team to a 8-0 victory over Dekker Keukens, because also Torbjörn Blomdahl (against Valentijn), Jean van Erp (against Haack Sorensen) and Ad Koorevaar (against Van der Wurf) were unstoppable. Haack Sorensen came to 48 points and just had a little chance for a win.

,,Dick Jaspers again was outstanding'', Jean van Erp said after the match. ,,He's really the best there is, he could have finished again in fifteen innings.''

The leader in the competition increased the gap with one point, because Crystal Kelly didn't take the full win. Frédéric Caudron beat Christian Rudolph angainst Twentevisie, Raimond Burgman knocked out Torsten Frings, but Frans van Kuik and Raymond Ceulemans lost their matches against Anno de Kleine and Dave van Geel.

The important match for the third place between Snellen Recycling and Delta was won by the team from Sluiskil: 6-2. There was enough tension in that encounter. Eddy Leppens and Jérémy Bury tied in 37 innings, Jean Paul de Bruijn won 50-47 against Peter Ceulemans, Berry van Beers and Peter de Backer also tied and Berry Dallinga beat Harry van de Ven 50-48.

De Vrachtkar escaped from the last place by a 6-2 victory over Emar Logistics. A remarkable player in that match was Johan Loncelle, whose team boss after his doping test said that he would never again play for the team. But Loncelle yet played, waiting for his supension. The Belgian even won his match with Francis Forton: 50-37.
