Who can compete in Antwerp on February 5 with Dick Jaspers for the title Player of the Year. The Dutchman is one of the three nominees at the Super Gala in the Hilton Hotel, organized by Ludo Dielis. Frédéric Caudron and Daniel Sánchez are the two other players who compete for the title and the bonus of 5000 euros.
Dick Jaspers won the World Cup 2010, the World Cup tournament in Suwon, was European champion in Sankt Wendel, won for the second time in Schiltigheim the Agipi Masters, the Yamani Cup in Tokyo and won his fourteenth Dutch title in three cushion.
Nobody in the world of three-cushion had such a list of titles en wins in 2010. Frédéric Caudron, who lost the final of the Belgian championship against Eddy Merckx last weekend, won the World Cup tournament in Matosinhos and the Kersttoernooi in Zundert.
Daniel Sánchez made his comeback at the top with a world title in Sluiskil, but that does not seem to be enough to threat Dick Jaspers in his ambition to win the title.
Jasper and Sánchez will play a match between the world champion and the winner of the World Cup on the gala evening, Dielis for the tenth and last time is the organizer. Dick Jaspers was in 2008 the last time Player of the Year.
