Dick Jaspers is invited for a tournament and has to miss the start

NIEUWEGEIN - Dick Jaspers has postponed his debut for HCR Prinsen in the Dutch three cushion league and misses the derby on Sunday against Holland Mineral/Bousema. The eastern derby should be a beautiful start to the competition, but the two teams have been weakened. Dick Jaspers (invited for an invitational tournament this weekend) and Christian Rudolph don't play for Prinsen, Murat Naci Coklu and Stefan Galla are missing for Holland Mineral. Therefor Therese Klompenhouwer plays on top position in the Lochems team against Anno de Kleine. The most seasoned players will miss more matches, because Coklu wil not come over from Turkey for all matches and Rudolph is a substitute in Prinsen, that basically has the solid line-up with Dick Jaspers, Anno de Kleine, Jelle Pijl, Raymund Swertz and Michel van Silfhout.

The first competition should give an impression of the team power and contenders for the top positions. Dallinga.com is no longer the obvious favorite without Jaspers and Merckx. The Zeeland team starts with a tough away match against De Distel, led by Gerwin Valentijn and with Jef Philipoom, John Tijssens and Adrie Demming. The Brabant team mainly has its chances on positions three and four, where Dallinga plays with Steven van Acker and Patrick Vasseur.

The match between STZ Zundert and 't Hartje/Van Wanrooy is marked by the revenge match between Roland Forthomme and Martin Spoormans, who played in the Superprestige in Belgium a draw this week, decisive for Forthomme's elimination. The veteran Spoormans leads the team with Ad Koorevaar Frank Martens and the other Belgian, Dirk Weeremans.
A1 Biljarts is facing the first away match against VDO with its new leader and big ambitions. Eddy Merckx, Raimond Burgman, Martien van der Spoel and Henk Blauwblomme are a feared opponent for all teams in the league.

Buffalo.nl is the new name for the Hague team with Glenn Hoffman, Jean van Erp, Jeffrey Jorissen and Herman van Daalen. The line-up remained unchanged, the opponent Post Luchtkanalen plays with Davy van Havere, Henk Habraken, Wilco van Wijk and Marc Celen.

MCR/De Uitspanning's strength is the same as last season on the places one and two with Eddy Leppens and Dave Christiani. Thorsten Frings is a recruit. Sander Jonen is the fourth man. The Brabant opponent Eekhoorn aims to compete in the upper half of the ranking with Frans van Kuyk, Kurt Ceulemans, Kenny Miatton and Jerry Herman.
