Dick Jaspers is on his way to win the World cup

SCHILTIGHEIM - The disappointment has swallowed, the confidence is not quite back to Dick Jaspers. The new world number one had a flying start at the World championship in Sluiskil, but afterwards was knocked out of the tournament with a 3-0 score (15-4, 15-12, 15-5, averages 2.647/1.400) by the later champion Dani Sánchez.
The morale of Dick Jaspers just was a little injured, because he did not show his best shape this weekend in the Dutch league. Only in the equalizing inning Jaspers could make the score a little bearable in his lost match against Roland Forthomme. Dick Jaspers however, which may be known, is a player who quickly can repare that kind of slumps.

He followed the World champion after his elimination until the final as a spectator and as a lover of billiards. And he send, as a real gentleman, the organization afterwards a beautiful letter in which he expressed his admiration. ,,It was a great tournament with a wonderful atmosphere and a beautiful accommodation. I wanted to thank you for this great experience'', said Jasper, who played in the session before his defeat against Sánchez a magnificent match against Sameh Sidhom with 4.515 average.

The last World Cup in three weeks in Hurghada, where he can conquer the World Cup for the year of 2011, the battle for the Supercup in Antwerp on February 5 and the election of billiard player of the year: those are the following objects for the European champion. And the next question of course is: will Jaspers be ready for a third coup in the Agipi Masters. ,,That's the tournament I love, where I like to shine'', Jaspers says. ,,It's no secret that I prefer to play matches to 50 points instead of matches in sets. The system is also beautiful with bonuses for highest averages and runs. I now won the Agipi Masters twice, but the competition is very tough with all the world class players.''
Jaspers will undoubtedly be in his great shape as he appears in the Agipi arena at 25, 26 and 27 February, in the billiardroom where he allready stole so many hearts. He plays those three days in a group with Jérémy Bury and three qualification players.
