Dick Jaspers today received the World Cup 2010 after a cyclus of four tournaments. The Dutch number one of the world needed a little luck on the last day of the Worldcup in Hurghada. Frédéric Caudron played the finale match against Filippos Kasidokostas. If the Belgian had won, he also had been the winner of the World Cup 2010. But the Greek won the final 3-1.

Dick Jaspers three times before won the Worldcup, in 1997, 1998 and 2008. In his carreer he already won eighteen tournaments for the Worldcup, two times he was the World champion.

I'm very satisfied about my season'', Jaspers said in Hurghada. ,,I think my average is around 2.000 in the four tournaments. Here, in Hurghada, I lost to Kouji Funaki, who played the tournament of his life.''

Jaspers this year won the Dutch Masters, the World cup tournament in Suwon, the Yamanicup in Tokyo, the Agipi Masters in Strasbourg, the European championship in Sant Wendl and now the Worldcup 2011. ,,I'm looking forward to the invitation for the Player of the Year and Supercup match in Antwerp on the 5th of February.''
