Danish player Dion Nelin in a brilliant form: 40 in 9 in the bundesliga

MAGDEBURG/BUER - The team missed its leading player Dick Jaspers, who won the Masters in the Netherlands. But yet, BC Magdeburg played twice a draw in the double weekend in the bundesliga, against BC Munich, the frontrunner, and BSV Munich. Dion Nelin was the undisputed star of the weekend. The Dane excelled especially against Michael Puse, whom he defeated with an improbable score: 40-2 in 9 innings. On Sunday, Nelin defeated Lütfi Cenet: 40-29 in 16 innings.

BC Munich, the leader, had a poor weekend: the team lost on Saturday 6-2 against BCC Witten, on Sunday BC Munich played a 4-4 against BC Magdeburg. Nevertheless, the team with Lütfi Cenet and Nikos Polychronopoulos retained the lead with 17 points out of 11, ahead of BC Elversberg and BCC Witten with 16 and BC Magdeburg with 15 points.

BC Elversberg climbed, together with BCC Witten, to the second place after a double victory. The Caudron team defeated Bottroper (6-2) and GT Buer (8-0). BCC Witten took two victories against BC Munich 6-2 and BSV Munich 8-0.


Dion Nelin (40 points in 9 and 16, showing his brilliant form) on top, Frédéric Caudron also had a strong first performance on Saturday when he defeated Christian Rudolph 40-20 in 18 innings. On Sunday, the Belgian was the better of Stefan Galla, 40-31 in 23. Torbjörn Blomdahl won his two matches, against Stefan Galla 40-28 in 26, against Christian Rudolph 40-32 in 19. Bergisch Gladbach still is far behind the leaders by losing to GT Buer (6-2) and a tie against Bottrop. Nikos Polychronopoulos was defeated by Markus Galla (40-35 in 20) and defeated Anno de Kleine 40-18 in 20 one day later.

Eddy Leppens took a double win for BCC Witten, on Saturday against Lütfi Cenet 40-26 in 23, on Sunday against Michael Puse 40-32 in 27.
