UTRECHT - Dion Nelin will not play anymore for the team of Dekker Keukens in the Dutch league. The Dane has withdrawn after a quarrel with Jef Philipoom, the number two of the team. The conflict arose over the payment of the travel expenses. Jef Philipoom travelled last week to the Agipi Masters in Schiltigheim together with Nelin. The two players got troubles about sharing of the costs. That’s why Nelin decided to return with Torbjörn Blomdahl.
On Sunday morning, before the match in the Netherlands, Nelin sent a message to Philipoom stating that he no longer wants to play for the team of Dekker Keukens. Philipoom now played in the home match against Crystal Kelly as the substitute for Nelin on billiard one and beat Frédéric Caudron.
John Tijssens, team leader of Dekker, was extremely angry. ,,Nelin did’nt call us on Sunday. He only later excused for that. But for us this story is over. He does not play anymore for Dekker.''
