Double round: 57 Dutch, 39 foreigners

BORCULO - The four billiard players of the Dallinga team stepped into the car very early this morning (Saturday) for the 550 kilometre long up-and-down trip to Lochem. They have to be back on Sunday for the home match against the leader of the first division. The Hague stronghold wants to keep on track and extend the unbeaten status in Sluiskil. De Eekhoorn will certainly welcome a full house for the derby against Ledermode from Hoeven. Brabant clashes are always there, especially in this double program in the Buffalo League. And in De Eekhoorn, the ambiance is always slightly more lively.

The international calendar is empty after the World championship in Cairo, the World Cup players are preparing for La Baule from Monday October 22nd. The teams in the Premier League will show up therefore with their best line-up. Jaspers is playing a double round, like Caudron, Merckx, Horn, Forthomme and Klompenhouwer. Only Leppens and Martinez come into action for their team only on Sunday.

For 12 matches in the double program, 57 Dutch players enter the billiard arenas and 39 foreigners on Saturday and Sunday. The players from far away are David Martinez (Spain) and Savas Bulut (Turkey), who happen to play each other on Sunday. Nice to know: the match on Saturday between Burgman and Zundert is played with twice two brothers: Peter and Bart Ceulemans, Barry and Rik van Beers.
