Dutch youth team is the best in Europe

The Dutch Horna team that won the European title

DUDELANGE - The youth team BC Horna from Hoorn (Netherlands) has won the European championship free game for club teams with three players under nineteen. The Dutch remained unbeaten in the preliminary rounds and won the final against the Czech team Anag Vitkov Praha with a big margin.

Sam van Etten, who played against Adam Baca and Ferry Jong (against Adam Koza) finished their match to 270 caroms in one inning. The games ended respectively 270-69 and 270-50.

The third game ended in a win for BC Horna as well: Jordy Jong defeated Richard Vintrocha 190-14 in three innings. Thereby, Horna took the hundred percent score. Most of all Sam van Etten was amazing: he played all his matches to 270 points in one inning: so 270.00 average. 

They did the same in the preliminaries, where the Dutch won all the matches in their group with four. The tournament was played by handicap with two groups of four teams. BC Horna was supreme in the group matches with Billard Club Oissel, Belgium and BC Hilden.

Sam van Etten, Ferry Jong, Belgian Stef van Hees, Czechs Adam Baca and Adam Kozak and German Tobias Bouerdick played to the maximum caroms: 270 caroms. The games were played at 2.30 meter billiards.

On the final podium BC Horna was the best followed by Anag and French clubs Billard Club Oissel and Retro Albertin.

For BC Oissel played Briac Dubois, Pierre Martory and Sebastien Verel.

For Retro Albertin played Enzo Riquart, Matthieu Jonard, Yohann Alderbonn and as substitute Raphael Jonard.

The tournament was organized by Cercle de Billard Dudelange and played in the Centre Hild.
