Eddy Leppens is leader with BCC Witten after a spectacular win over Martin Horn

BOTTROP/MAGDEBURG - The BCC Witten team and Bottroper BA have achieved the maximum win in the double start-up weekend of the German competition. The team on top, BCC Witten, won two away games in Berlin and Magdeburg. Bottroper started with a double win against BC Munich, the runner-up last season and BC Magdeburg.

Bottrop's victory over BC Munich was achieved thanks to Jean van Erp, who beat Lütfi Cenet 40-28 in 23 and Christian Rudolph's win over Kostas Papakonstantinou, also in 23. Bottrop's second win was against Erlangen, 6-2 thanks to Rudolhp, Van Geel and Ohagen.

BCC Witten started excellent. Eddy Leppens showed up with the most spectacular match: the Belgian was 36-17 down against Martin Horn in 15, but beat the German in his next four innings, 40-37. On Sunday, BCC Witten bested Magdeburg 6-2, only Leppens lost to Jaspers. Savas Bulut knocked out Dion Nelin 40-10 in 15.

BC Magdeburg recovered on Sunday with a 5-3 win over Krefeld. Dick Jaspers shared the score with Thorsten Frings in 35. Bergisch Gladbach and BC Elversberg only played on Saturday and met each other in an equal score: 4-4. Caudron won for Elversberg against Christiani (40-21 in 15), for Bergisch was Peter Ceuleman winner against Philipoom (40-27 in 32).
