ADAPAZARI - Turkish player Emrullah Basegmez triumphed in a sponsor tournament in Adapazari, 150 kilometers from Istanbul. He defeated Tolgahan Kiraz in the final match 40-35 in 21 innings (1.905). The tournament was played with 96 participants.

Emrullah Basegmez is known for his performance in Luxor last month. There he survived the qualifications with victories over Birol Uymaz, Ruben Legazpi and Savas Bulut. In the main tournament, he was outplayed by Dong Koong Kang.

The Turkish coming man reached the final in Adapazari including a great match against Ersin Suer (30-6 in 9) and wins against Osman Yenidogan (35-15 in 37), Yavuz Güngördü (40-25 in 27) and Erkan Yildirim (40-34 in 34).

The final was a wonderful game in which Basegmez faced Tolgahan Kiraz, who played the World championship for teams in Viersen. Basegmez showed himself the best and was crowned with the title.

Hamit Akkaya, who had to show up for the European qualifications in Vienna last weekend (due to visa problems, he cancelled participation: his team played with three) reached the semi finals, in which he was eliminated by Tolgahan Kiraz.
