Enzo Riquart takes second cadets title

DAVEZIEUX - The 14-year-old French player Enzo Riquart from club Vignacourt has taken his second French three cushion title for cadets. He won his first title in Oissel in 2013. Last year, Riquart finished third in Soissons.

The final was a fight between Enzo Riquart and Maxime Panaia from Colmar. Both players matched up in the final over 25 caroms, in which Riquart launched the final sprint and finished with nine caroms in the last three innings.

Maxime Panaia raised the tension with a run of three from the equalizer (25-25). In the penalty shots, Riquart started with two from the break. Panaia scored from the dots, but missed his second point.

Enzo Riquart is not only the double French cadets champion, he was also vice European champion in Brandenburg in 2013. Riquart finished the tournament in Davezieux 0.699 average. Maxime Panaia was the best on average with 0.815 ahead of John Godel, who finished fifth with 0.759. Johan Godel also made the highest run of the tournament: 8.

The podium was completed by Pierre Martory with 0.414 and Cédric Vasseur 0.476.
