Frédéric Caudron has been transferred to the Etikon team

ROSMALEN - The top team Etikon from Rosmalen, ten times Dutch champion and five times European champion, will perform in a new and stronger line-up next season. The Belgian Frédéric Caudron is the new player in the team led by Bennie Deegens. In the best line-up, Etikon both in the Dutch top team competition and in Europe starts with Jean Paul de Bruijn, Patrick Niessen and Frédéric Caudron.

Team manager Bennie Deegens is very pleased with the transfer. The youthful Jim van der Zalm has left the team. Frédéric Caudron is considered best all-around player in the world with a huge honour role. He can be used both in the balk-line and one cushion by Etikon.

The 48-year-old Belgian was 11 times world champion, 14 times European champion, 88 times Belgian champion, won sixteen World Cups and several other major tournaments.

Mrs Bredewoud, director and owner of Etikon Netherlands, presented the new player. ,,After five European titles in a row, we finished third in the last two years. We'd like to have a shot at the top spot again. Because both in business and in sport you have to have goals and pursue.''

Bennie Deegens: ,,Our sponsor gives a clear sign of what she expects from me and the team. It'a nor yet known, which teams are our main competitors, so we have to wait and see. The main thing we know is that Caudron will now play for us and not for one of our big rivals.''
