Five teams in France for final round with three

SUCY EN BRIE – Jérôme Desrozier, the French sportsdirector of the three cushion league, has announced five teams and the schedule for next season. The competition starts on the 7th of November. Three of five teams will play the final round on 24 and 25 May in the Agipi arena in Schiltigheim.

The competition has been reduced to five teams after Clichy retired two years ago and Kozoom will not come to the start for this year. Therefore top players as Dick Jaspers, Eddy Merckx and Eddy Leppens disappeared from the competition.

Filippos Kasidokostas signed a new contract for Andernos instead of Kozoom. Three foreign players, Kasidokostas, Roland Forthomme and Peter De Backer, rotate in the system with five rounds of competition.

The other teams, multiple champion Agipi, Laxou, Gravelines and Albert have almost the same line-up. The Agipi team will make another shot at the title in its strong composition with Frédéric Caudron, Marco Zanetti, Jérémy Bury and Jean Christophe Roux.

Laxou and Andernos are the main competitors. The Laxou team is led by Torbjörn Blomdahl and Martin Horn, the French players are Pierre Soumagne, Franck Mathieu and Eric Kremer-Leclaire.

The Belgians Martin Spoormans, Fréderic Roelants and Stanny Buyle for Gravelines and Peter and Kurt Ceulemans for Albert are the leaders of two teams that complete the competition.
Two young talents, Cédric Melnytschenko and Kevin Pérrotin are performing again the Albert team, for Gravelines, Gino Gremain is the fourth player.

The composition of the teams:

Agipi:
Frédéric Caudron, Marco Zanetti, Jérémy Bury, Jean Christophe Roux, substitutes Christoph Duval and Claude Fath.

Laxou:
Torbjörn Blomdahl, Martin Horn, Pierre Soumagne, Eric Kremer-Leclaire, Mathieu Franck. Substitues: Jean Paul Six, Damien Queney.

Andernos:
Filippos Kasidokostas, Rokland Forthomme, Peter De Backer, Jérôme Barbeillon, Francis Connesson. Substitute: Bernard Baudoin.

Gravelines:
Martin Spoormans, Fréderic Roelants, Stanny Buyle, Gino Gremain.

Albert: Peter Ceulemans, Kurt Ceulemans, Cédric Melnytschenko, Kevin Perrotin.

The schedule:

November 7:
Albert-Laxou, Gravelines-Andernos

November 28:
Agipi- Gravelines, Andernos-Laxou

February 6:
Laxou-Gravelines, Albert-Agipi

February 27:
Andernos-Albert, Laxou-Agipi

April 3: Agipi-Andernos, Gravelines-Albert.

The final days are May 24 and 25 in the Agipi arena.
