Therese Klompenhouwer looked very well and fresh and won her first match with a great score

BURSA - Her look is confident, she is focused and her arm does what she wants. Therese Klompenhouwer has started rarely good at the World Cup in Bursa today, Wednesday, where she won her first match, facing Turkish player Savas Gungor 30-19 in 17 innings. In the later hours she plays the Egyptian Hesham Zaghloul: a match that should not be underestimated, she realizes herself.

The Dutch women's world champion was one of the best starters on the third day, when all at once the level was lifted. The Vietnamese Ngo Dinh Nai played a magnificent 3.333 against Sylvia Eckel (30-6 in 9), Turgay Orak and Birol Uymaz recorded 1.875 (30 in 16) and Ismail Yasin, who defeated Can Capak, 1.764 with 30-16 in 17.

Therese Klompenhouwer looked very well, fresh and ambitious after she stepped from the table this morning. ,,I felt at home on the billiard right from the start'', she said. ,,The tables are Platin and feel very good, although I always prefer Verhoeven. But there's no time to bother.'' The 20-14 margin was more than deserved after thirteen innings and turned into 30-19 in 17. Savas Gungor, whom she beat in the morning, defeated the Egyptian Hesham Zaghloul in his second match 30-12 in 31, not a bad sign for the deciding game.

,,The entourage is very beautiful'', Therese explained after her match. ,,The venue is located in a wonderful, through which I have to walk to my hotel. Furthermore, Bursa seems to be a great city, but I still have not seen so much. I hope to keep it like this for a few days, because I came here to play billiards.''

Surprisingly, in the first rounds, was Can Capak's loss, however he beat Mehmet Goren in his second 30-14 in 19. Birol Uymaz and Jung Ju Shin will fight it out for the win in Group A, Tolgahan Kiraz started with a hard-fought victory over Omer Karakurt, who missed his last of four points to equalize the match.
that his last point in the equalizer missed a draw.

Turgay Orak will find the strong Greek Kostas Papakonstantinou later on his way in the decisive battle for Group D, Dinh Nai Ngo (3.333) meets Myung Woo Cho (0.909) in a man-to-man battle and Dustin Jäschke seems to be out after losing to Manol Minaoglu.

Ma Minh Cam, who bested Cara 30-13, waits a tough match with Ahmet Alp for a place in the next round. Sarp Kaya lost his first match to Murat Celik, but defeated Ahmet Bayatli by a final run of six (30-25 in 24) and still has a chance of survival.
