On the second day Ruud Hölscher also surprised with a spectacular start against Raimond Burgman. Hölscher had a lead of 39-17 after seventeen innings. When he finished the match, Burgman made nine in the equalizer, but the win was for Hölscher: 50-45 in 32 innings.
Therese Klompenhouwer lost her chances in Group F by giving away an almost certain win against Wim van de Berg. The Dutch leading lady had an advantage of 43-32 after 40 innings, but lost the match 50-49. Sander Jonen defeated Barry van Beers. He finished with six on a score of 44-43.
