Four teams in Final four play-offs in Denmark

VARDE - The final four playoffs in the national championship for club teams, the Søren Søgaard Premier league, will be played on Saturday March 18 in the city of Varde in the south of Jutland, Denmark. The battle with the best four teams is a one day event. The city of Varde is hosting a mayor national billiard event fort he first time in Danish billiard history.

The championship will attract many spectators at the venueplace. The organization promoted its event with a lot of media attention in the city and in the local area to the event, even on national level.
 
After the basic matches have been played in the regualar season, four teams are qualified for the Final Four playoffs: Varde BK, BK Grøndal, Vejle and BK 2004. In the regular season many individual matches were played with more than 2.000 average and the standard of playing has been very high. The Danish league consists of both Danish topplayers and foreign players.
 
The team line ups:
 
Varde BK: Brian Zola Hansen, Michael Nilsson, Thomas Andersen and Allan Schroeder.

BK Grøndal: Dion Nelin, Tonny Carlsen, Brian Knudsen and Lars Dunch.

Vejle: Allan Keith, Claus Føge, Michael Toudahl and Benny Staalbo.

BK 2004: Poul Bjerring, Nalle Olsson, Allan Lys Jensen, Thomas Andersen and Ivan Hansen
 
The format:
X All teams play three matches on the one day event
x The matches are played on four tables at the same time
x The teams meet according to the Belgian format with two matches to 50 points and two matches to 42 points
x 40 seconds time limit and 2 time outs
x Two semifinals, between the seeded number 1-4 and the seeded number 2-3.
x The winners of the semifinals play the championship game (Match 3)

11.00: Match 1: Varde BK-BK 2004

13.00: BK Grøndal-Vejle
 
16.00: Championship game: winner game 1-winner game 2
 
18.00: Medal ceremony
